Provided below are resources to assist your move and/or home purchase to Denver. The lenders on our list are among the best and will provide excellent service. The education information includes both that which is “open” to the public through Colorado and/or a specific school district as well as a private web site available to you through my subscription.
Others are of a more generic nature, but may save you the time and effort of conducting your own search.
FINANCING
When we go to your closing, there will actually be two important transactions. One is the purchase of your home and the other is the “purchase” of funds. It is critical that we carefully evaluate your options, as it is possible to get a great “deal” on the home purchase, but to lose thousands of dollars through accepting the wrong loan. My many years of experience in the loan business will help you to evaluate your options and to make an informed decision.
I am happy to provide the names of several lenders to you. Your choice of lender is important. These are all people and companies with whom my clients and I have done business for many years. It should come as no surprise that my wife’s name comes first. That makes for a much more harmonious home life. It would not be here at all if she were not the consummate professional that she is and did not have many years in the mortgage business. Wells Fargo is a large lender both here and nationwide. My clients receive excellent service from George and his assistant Carmen. They are always very competitive and rate quotes from George are usually better than you receive from a loan person at one of the many Well Fargo Bank Offices.

The calculators I have linked to this site are from CTX Mortgage. CTX is a national lender with a major presence in the Colorado market. They have done an excellent job in providing answers to many of your questions and their “calculator” is more “user friendly” than many.
Use these calculators only as a starting point. You really will benefit from talking to a professional who understands lending and can find specific programs that will meet your individual needs. Such options as 103% LTV loans, 80%/15%/5% programs (to avoid mortgage insurance), FHA insured loans and grants to assist first time lower income buyers are just a few of the programs available. With my prior mortgage lending experience I can begin an informed dialog with you and then refer you to the lender who has the best terms for the specific program that works for you.
